Registrations Rise to All Time High for Considerate Constructors Scheme

The Considerate Constructors Scheme has seen registrations soar to new heights in 2003 and is proud to announce its 7000th site signing.

The new Co-Op store in High Wycombe is the Schemes 7,000th site registration. Ashe Construction, the contractor for the site, is on program to have the project finished in November 2003.

Bruce Rankin, site manager says "Registering with the Considerate Constructors Scheme is important as it demonstrates how we attempt to minimise any disruption caused by the site within the local community. We are delighted to be the Considerate Constructors Scheme's 7,000th site."

David Hardy, General Manager of the Scheme says, "We are delighted with the number of sites that have registered with the Scheme but hope that many more Contractors will realise the benefits from considerate construction".

The Considerate Constructors Scheme aims to achieve better site management and presentation of sites, with the emphasis on improving relationships with the local community. Its objective is to minimise any disturbance or negative impact (in terms of noise, dirt and inconvenience) sometimes caused by construction sites to the immediate neighbourhood.
